"Not very social then?" he asks, smiling. "Me either. I spend most of my time in my flat writing music, to be honest. Either that, or I'm wandering around the shops looking for something interesting to buy. I don't come to the park as often as I'd like to." He looks around for a moment, surveying the quiet green space. "It's nice out here."

Vincent shook his head again. "Not social... you could say that," he admitted. Actually, he was relatively social, just not in the nice way. More like the rude, sarcastic, and brutally honest way, that annoyed the living daylights out of most people. "You write music?" he enquired, genuinely curious. He hasn't met many artistically inclined people, but the idea that Jayden wrote music was intriguing and... okay, FINE, it was slightly attractive too.
Vincent himself had a hard time thinking of tunes to go to his songs, spending hours on end fiddling with 'instruments' on his computer before getting anything useful out of it. Which really was unfortunate, because the songs themselves were pretty good.

Jayden nodded. "I play piano and I sometimes write my own music. I often play covers and change them up a bit, see how I can work with someone else's music, but yeah, I write my own." He's rambling again.
The fact that Vince was still shirtless was slightly distracting, and it was most likely the contributing factor to his stupid rambling.
i keep writing in present tense omg

ahaha not my fault, weirdo. Vincent nodded, looking at Jayden as if what he was saying was the most fascinating thing in the world. It tended to work, you know, trying to get people to talk more while avoiding talking about yourself. "Piano, huh? Sounds... fun," he says.
Funnily enough, he was actually trying to make conversation not just because that's what he did, but because he really wanted to know more about Jayden. He wanted to know more about this mysterious stranger who was now looking at Vince's bare chest in a way that made him a little-self-conscious, though of course he would never admit that, nor show it.

He smiled. "I guess you could call it... fun. What do you do, if you don't mind my asking?" He had the feeling that Vince was a slightly secretive person. He was one as well. His music was the only thing he talked about freely. He bit his lip as he glanced over Vince's torso again. The guy could probably tell that he was giving him a once-or seventh-over, but he really didn't seem to mind.

Vincent bit his lip, and gave a one-shouldered shrug. "I, uh... sing," he said quietly, seeming rather embarrassed about the fact. When you hear that a guy sings... well, if he's famous, girls are all over him. If he's not, and just 'sings', most girls will probably write him off as gay. Not that spending this much time in Jayden's company wasn't making him question whether he wasn't.
"I mean, not really, you know, but it's more of a hobby than anything else," he explained.

Jayden's eyes widened. "Really? I always wished that I could sing as well, to be honest." Why is he divulging this? What about this guy makes him babble incessantly? "I can sing a little bit, but my accent is quite strong when I do, and, well, I sound quite quirky, I guess. It's not particularly pleasant." He laughs nervously and rubs the back of his neck.

"Oh, really? Strange, when I sing my accent kind of... disappears," Vincent said, biting his lip and looking at Jayden. Oh, God, his eyes were really gorgeous. And so was his hair. And his lips. Jesus, was he really doing this? Yes he was.
His mind wandered a bit, and he found himself wondering what it would be like to... no. Better stop himself there.

"That's disappointing," Jayden said, watching Vincent's mouth. "I quite like your accent." He winked and ran his tongue over his bottom lip quickly and ran his long fingers through his hair. "Would you like to have a cup of coffee or something?"

Vincent could feel himself blushing, which was embarrassing in and of it self. To make matters worse, being embarrassed about blushing made him blush even more. Well, bugger. "Uh, thanks," he replied, smiling and biting his lip. After living in the States for five or so years, he didn't have such and overwhelming accent anymore, and he'd found that most girls found Russian accents quite attractive. Go figure that guys would too.
"Coffee sounds great," he admitted, realizing that he hadn't eaten breakfast before setting out to jog, nor had any coffee, tea, or, well, anything.

Jayden grinned. "Great! I know this nice little café not too far from here. They serve delicious coffee and tea, and they've got these wonderful pastries that are honestly something from heaven, I assure you." He eyed Vince's bare chest. "You might want to put some clothes on though," he teased. "I mean, I don't mind, but the entrepreneur might not approve."

Vincent grinned. Listening to Jayden talk, or rather, gush, about the cafe was quite nice, and while he'd seemed intimidating at first, he was now almost... cute. Cute? No, surely he couldn't have meant cute... Oh, who was he kidding? Yes, he did mean cute.
"Yeah," he said, looking down at his chest. "Probably," he mused, chuckling as he pulled his shirt back over his head, tousling his hair. He stood up and ignored the giggly looks he got from a pair of girls in the corner of his eye, who he could really be less interested in right now.

Jayden stood up as well, and the two began to walk out of the park. He glanced at Vince out of the corner of his eye several times. The two were almost the same height, give or take a few inches. He had a darker skin tone than Jayden, but that was most likely due to his Russian heritage. Jayden was quite pale, but most Englishmen were, and even though he lived in America, he didn't much like the sun.

Vincent's long fingers tugged nervously at the hem of his shirt, smiling. God knows he hadn't smiled like this in ages, even though he felt rather self-conscious. Compared to Jayden, he looked like some sort of ruffian, homeless person, or something of the likes. Why couldn't he have spent five minutes combing his hair, or picked a pair of newer sneakers instead of his ancient Converse?
Determined to break the silence, he glanced over at Jayden quickly before speaking. "So, how long have you been here?" he asked, wondering if Jayden was new to the town, or had been here a while. Vince figured it was more likely that he was new, considering he'd never seen him before in his life.
